ABC NEWS - U.S. Airport Full Body Scanners Too Unreliable to Use, Germany Says

Scanners can't distinguish between sweat and explosives

In Germany, officials announced the machines and the software are currently too unreliable to be used."

"Local press reports put the false alarm rate high as 49 percent and said sweaty armpits had been the culprit multiple times."

Our comment: TSA spent  over $170,000 each for scanners that can't detect guns as well as a $ 1,200 metal detecting archway.
